Happy Birthday to Jamie!

As much as she tried to hide, she could not escape having her "21st birthday" celebrated together with her colleagues at 5:15pm this evening. Hope the following images can etch as part of her wonderful memories with us.

Gift from Housman (from Japan)

There was this wonderful looking and tastefully appetising snack i received from Housman from his Japan trip. It tastes something like sponge cake filled with strawberry and custard cream filling. Yum Yum.......

Its all about you!

I found this website from a fren's blog. I tried it out of boredom and guess what? It turns out to be very accurate. Here's the link and my complete profile:

Calvin's Profile:

It would appear that at this particular time of your life you are going through a tough time. You are feeling (or have recently felt) miserable and depressed and perhaps you are still feeling that way. Maybe all the trials and tribulations just aren't worth it. Your present anxieties could have been associated with either your 'private' or 'business' life - whatever ... what you really need at this time is to get away from it all, maybe a vacation - alone, or better still, perhaps with someone that you know really cares for you, someone who appreciates you - not for what you have but for who you are. A short vacation may be all you need to afford you the time to recover and to get back to your normal vital self.

Always anxious to accept the role of the leader, as indeed you often work well with people - but try to stay out of the limelight. You'd like a life of ease with no one to rock the boat and someone who understands you is so important in your life.

You feel that you deserve far more than is being attributed to you, but there is no-one to whom you can turn to for sympathy and understanding. Your pent-up emotions and inherent egocentricity make you quick to take offence, but as matters stand you realise that you will have to make the best of things as they are.

You are being unduly influenced by the situation that is all around you. You do not like the feeling of loneliness and whatever it is that seems to separate you from others. You know that life can be wonderful and you are anxious to experience life in all its aspects, to live it to the full. You therefore resent any restriction or limitations that are being imposed on you and you insist on going it alone.

You are anxious about all the limitations to which you are subjected to at this time. You feel that you are not valued for what or who you are. You need OUT. So why procrastinate any longer - MOVE!

QQ is being missed

This is a scene at our usual hangout. When we were about to leave for office, the shopowner asked: "what happen to the cute lady who is always with you hunks?"

Injury

Being a TKD coach, it is my duty to train my students to be tough; especially when their national competition draws near. However, it was never my intention to get myself or anyone else injured. Injury equals pain; physical, mental and pocket pain (medical bills).

Many asked me why i was limping since tuesday; I injured my right foot while sparring with one of my favorite students while preparing him for the national competition. My tibialis anterior tendon was swollen accompanied with a cut of 13mm x 8mm x 2mm.

Anyway, this was nothing compared to the injury inflicted on the child (he is 17 this year). His lower lip was split open in a "star-shape". I immediately sent him to the nearest hospital to be stitched up. He was later transferred to a private hospital for further treatment (total cost > S$5K). Though he should recover quite quickly, i still felt bad having to deal with such a freak accident.

The message i am trying to drive at would be this: DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF TAEKWONDO, ONCE EXECUTED CORRECTLY, THE ART CAN BE DEADLY. HENCE, PLEASE BE PROPERLY INSURED.
